On A Lighter Note

The trip has been fairly exhausting, but the highlight has definitely been having incredible seats to the Cardinals v. Giants game Friday night. Erin was with me (she has been my travel compaion without whom I surely would have not survived the trip), and we sat at the end of the Giants dugout, just behind 3rd base. At one point we could have reached out and touched Barry Bonds. He is a large man. Anyway, the Cards whooped up on the Giants (themselves a respectable team) 14-4. Scotty Rolen hit 2 homers and a 2-run triple, Chris Duncan hit another 2 homers, Aaron Miles played incredible defense at SS (he is Erin's new favorite Cardinal), and we even got to see precious little So Taguchi bat, hit, and score. It was a beautiful night at the ballpark, and it was good therapy for my soul. (Our magic number is 9.)
